Text description provided by the architects. Inblum Architects designed a home for a newly established office of a global IT company WIX in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The space had to be fit out in two stages having in mind company‘s growing needs. First stage with 16 working places in space A. Second stage full capacity, 32 working places.
In the open plan space, architects placed working desks in areas by the windows and concentrated meeting units in the middle of the space where natural day light is not sufficient.
Three clear-glass meeting units are separated one from each other in order to have good connection between working spaces A and B. Additionally, this way positioned meeting units form intimate spaces around them where informal meeting areas are placed.
In this project, architects designed most of the furniture including working desks, lounge and windowsill seating and “W“- signed drawer units.
The idea behind triangular shelving units in the kitchen is to bring a personal touch to the space. Each company member shall bring a personal item, something that would represent him or his interests. Altogether, it will form collective exhibition and say something about each person working in the company.
